Glazed Citrus Cream Cheese Cookies

I was astounded with the result of these lemon cookies. So much so that I remade them the next day. And then I remade them again, trying orange instead of lemon. I could not, and still cannot, decide which I like better. They’re both so good.

I even asked you guys on Instagram story, which you prefer in a poll. The results were so close that I just threw my hands in the air and decided to call Switzlerland: so they are now glazed “citrus” cookies.

You can use whatever you have on hand or prefer. Lime, why not? Grapefruit, sure! Whatever citrus fruit you use, you will get the same deliciously soft citrus cookie. These are like little pillows of cookies that melt in your mouth. They’re so soft and the icing on top, makes them my top “citrus” cookie recipe.

Let me know what you use and what you like best. 🙂 The picture above on the left is orange and the picture on the right is lemon. If deciding to go with a more sour citrus like lemon, use slightly more sugar, as indicated in the recipe below.
