The perfect loaf for Spring.
This cake is very similar to a pound cake. It is incredibly moist and dense thanks to the addition of cream cheese in the batter. The predominant flavor is the sweet strawberry jam. If you like your desserts less sweet, try to find a strawberry jam that is more tart, or consider making your own and omitting the sugar.
I’ve never been much of a jam/jelly person. I don’t personally like this very much. But my family is obsessed. They all love jam and jelly. It’s a perfect breakfast cake. Or something to serve along side coffee and tea. But if you too do not like fruit preserves on toast, bread, or alongside peanut butter in a sandwich, then maybe skip this one. For the strawberry jam lovers out there though, this cake is definitely your jam. 😉
