Fig Tart


Fig season is upon us! Finally. I wait all year for this short and sweet period.

This tart is as simple as it gets: Quick, delicious, one-bowl crust, created in under 5 minutes, topped with creamy vanilla pastry cream and finished with fresh California figs.

While the tart here is rectangular, the same recipe below works for a classic round tart as well. You can absolutely add more or a variety of fruit. Anything works and the fresh fruit makes it automatically beautiful. Enjoy the bounty of August and impress those around you while you’re at it.
