‘Tis the season of crumbles, cobblers, and crisps. And I can’t get enough of them.
I made this particular crumble with frozen blueberries, while waiting impatiently for the ones in the backyard to ripen.
Over Memorial Day weekend, we got together with our close friends for a picnic by the lake. We had quiche lorraine, summer salad with berries, and this sweet blueberry crumble. It was one of the best meals I’d had in quite a while. It could of course have been due to the company. Or the variety of food. Or maybe the lake view. Or better yet, perhaps this crumble, served along a scoop of ice cream….or two.
Thank goodness the blueberries in the backyard are shifting from shades of green to blue. I see many a crumble in my future…
