These bars are for the brave–they are incredibly spicy. If you are known for always doubling the cinnamon and any other spice when baking, these are for you. They are essentially a dense extra spicy gingerbread brownie. And they are delicious. The white chocolate chips add just the right amount of sweetness and texture. The original recipe calls for 7 tsp. of spice and I’ve used 5.5 tsp. of spice here. Adjust this to your preferences and enjoy–perhaps still warm from the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
