Maple Brown Sugar Cookies

Don’t worry, I’m not thinking about Pumpkin spice yet. (Although, Fall is right around the corner!) I must admit that I am thinking about maple. Last week I made Vanilla Buttermilk Pancakes and Hoecakes so maple syrup was constantly being passed around the table. And it was a sight (and taste) for sore eyes (and stomachs).

So I whipped up a batch of these maple brown sugar cookies. I’ve been making these for a couple years now, always satisfied with their chewy edges and soft insides. They’re pretty and have those nice cookie wrinkles on top. The maple is neither overpowering nor too sweet. They’re easy to whisk together (no electric mixer needed) and most importantly, they have satisfied my August maple craving. I hope they satisfy yours too!
