This is everything I want in a dessert: chocolate.
Quite frankly, flourless chocolate cake > chocolate cake. There’s just something so much more luxurious to me when eating a piece of dense flourless chocolate cake. It melts in your mouth the way a classic chocolate cake does not. It’s rich, creamy, and so chocolate forward. I just love it. It’s good warm or cold, it’s good alone or with the accompaniment of whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and/or fresh fruit. It’s also delicious with crème anglais.
I saved a piece for my bff, Shireen, knowing that flourless chocolate cake is her favorite. After her first bite she said, “Honestly, I am soooooooooo impressed. This is insane.” And the best thing about Shireen — she says things as they are.
So, when you’re thinking of an easy, no mixer, chocolate dessert, you should really be thinking of this one. Simple ingredients, simple directions, and pure pleasure. Enjoy!
