My sister, Aly, recently texted me a string of photographs from a magazine she was flipping through, full of tempting recipes from brioche to these pretty cinnamon cookies.
A huge fan of snickerdoodles, and cinnamon in general as we all know now, I told her I’d bake them. I ended up baking them the next day.
And I couldn’t be more pleased! I mean, look how adorable they are. They taste like simple sugar cookies with a touch of cinnamon and almond from the decoration on top. It’d be fun to play around with the next batch using almond extract instead or along with vanilla. Maybe you’ll want to do the same!
As winter approaches, these will be perfect to serve on a dreary day when dreaming of the beach.
