Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

I turn to these cookies when I want to make very little effort but have it appear that I’ve made quite a bit. ๐Ÿ˜‰

They’re my last-minute, one-bowl recipe to impress. The actual cookie itself it really basic and classic–it’s just a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie at the end of the day.ย  They become impressive however, when you swap chocolate chips for chocolate chunks. You can buy chocolate chunks now at any grocery store. Or buy a chocolate bar and roughly chop it into chunks. And the addition of oatmeal adds texture, not only when you’re eating it, but visually so it’s quite pleasing…and again impressive. ๐Ÿ™‚

As always, feel free to adapt to your tastes. Maybe you’re in a milk chocolate mood and want to use milk chocolate chips or chunks. Perhaps you have kids in the house and want to add m&m’s. Maybe you’re a raisin lover. Or maybe you love nuts in everything you eat, including, and especially in cookies.

Try to keep yourself from eating them all at once. They get chewier and richer the next day. Mmmmm.
