Asparagus Goat Cheese Tart

I present to you, the easiest, and most elegant, versatile dish to celebrate Spring. Please give a warm welcome to this delicious asparagus goat cheese tart.

Because it’s puff pastry at its base, it’s incredibly easy to make. All you have to do is mix the cheeses, spread them over the dough, line asparagus on top, and wait 25 minutes for it to bake. That’s it.

Next thing you know, you’re pulling a bright green tart from your oven, that’s bubbling and golden brown, and that can be eaten straight away, at room temperature or cold the next day.

It can be served as breakfast, lunch, dinner, appetizer, it’s completely up to you. It will adapt to you. 😉 It is best served with a green salad and one last drizzle of olive oil on top.

Also, it does not need salt because the parmesan is salty enough. See what you think but use a steady hand if adding any. Enjoy!

  1. This will be served at my next luncheon or dinner party during the hot Houston summer. Do you think that it would be enough for the main course, with an abundance of side dishes? Do you have suggestions for side dishes?

    1. Thanks CA! That sounds like a great idea. For lunch, it is certainly enough. You could add some potato salad, green salad, maybe a pasta salad, or something nice meaty appetizers for more protein. If serving during dinner, I’d make it a side dish instead or an appetizer. Unless it’s a small group. I always eat this one for dinner with a green salad. I have yet to make it for a crowd but I know people would love it!
