Marbled Carrot Cake Cream Cheese Bars

Carrot cake. Arguably one of the most beloved American cakes. When Fabien and I travel to France and I courageously offer to bake for the French (yikes!), the request I receive most frequently is Carrot Cake. The second, Cheesecake. Carrot cake ingredients are easy enough to find there, even cream cheese (now sold in most grocery stores. If you are reading from France and can’t find it, you can also replace with Fromage Blanc).

While carrot cake is a pretty straight forward recipe and doesn’t even require an electric mixer (until making the frosting), it can get fussy when involving layers and piping.
