Chocolate Chip Muffins

This recipe is so great to have in your back-pocket, especially when you have anyone from France visiting. 😉 Fabien (and most French people in my experience) adore American “moo-fins,” as they charmingly pronounce them. And this recipe offers the most classic taste.

They make a perfect dozen, they don’t have a bunch of competing flavors going on, and they’re perfectly puffed. They also have just the right about of sweetness. The perfect amount of sugar is important because you don’t want to feel like you’re eating a healthy muffin (I mean you chose chocolate chip after-all) but you also don’t want it so sweet that it tastes like a cupcake. And these muffins are just right.

They will go fast, paired with a hot cup of coffee. And they will go even faster paired with a French husband. :-p
